After three grueling matches, the MSHL Season 9 Finals between the Zamboni Zombies and the PieRats is coming to a final boiling point. The series now stands at 2โ1 in favor of the PieRats, after they snatched Game 3 in overtime during one of the most intense back-and-forth contests of the season.

Both teams came out swinging in Game 3. The Zombies opened the scoreboard early with a goal from Creature, but the PieRats wouldnโt let them breathe. Throughout the match, the scoreboard kept shifting, with each side answering back moments after the other struck.
The Zamboni Zombies are now playing with their backs against the wall. One more loss, and their shot at the cup vanishes.
But donโt count them out. The Zombies have been rotating new talent into their lines all season and so far itโs been working. Unheard of names like Euripedes and aiti, who have stepped up to the plate and delivered.
Scuzzy Sureshot continues to evolve as one of the leagueโs most important returning players in the post-Civil War era. Malstryx is finding the back of the net in clutch moments. And Creature is a monster on both ends of the rink.
Their goalie (and captain), Jack, has been tested against the high-pressure duo of Randle and Chaotic- and though he let in 6 in Game 3, he’s saved the Zombies on multiple occasions and proven that the pressure of the championship doesn’t faze him.
The PieRats, meanwhile, are flying high. Theyโve got momentum, firepower, and Linix in net, arguably the best goalie in the entire HZ ecosystem. Theyโve also shown they can bounce back from being down in the scoreboard and still strike back hard by the end.
Our Prediction?
Expect another defensive and possession-focused war.
- If the Zombies play tight defense and rotate less of their newbies in, they could grind this out and force a Game 5. They have to play smart team defense and be careful with subs.
- If PieRatsโ counterattack keeps connecting with their double warbirds, and Linix stands tall and is focused, the rats may lift the trophy today.
The question is: will the Zombies keep playing their rookies? Or will they lock in their veteran core for the potential elimination game?
Or will these rookies make me eat my own words? Game 4 might just be where a few more names etch themselves into MSHL history.
Be there.
๐ Game 4 starts this afternoon at 5 PM ET (and possibly Game 5)
Will we see a Game 5 deciderโฆ or a championship celebration?
If there needs to be a Game 5, then it will happen today too! Right after this game.
